Benchmark Hospice has been named a 2026 Hospice CAHPS Honors recipient, recognizing the experience our patients and families have with the care we provide.
The Hospice CAHPS Honors program, administered by MatrixCare, recognizes high-performing hospice agencies based on feedback collected through the Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey. The program looks closely at the experiences of patients and caregivers, including how they felt about the quality of care, communication, support and whether they would recommend the hospice agency to others.
For the 2026 recognition, MatrixCare evaluated Hospice CAHPS survey results from April through December 2025. To qualify for consideration, hospice agencies were required to score above the MatrixCare National Performance Score on the survey’s willingness-to-recommend question and meet participation requirements throughout the evaluation period. Recipients were then evaluated across 22 quality measures, with Hospice CAHPS Honors awarded to agencies that scored above the MatrixCare national score on at least 17 of those measures.
For our team, that makes this recognition especially meaningful.
Hospice care is deeply personal. Families invite us into some of the most difficult and important moments of their lives, and their experience is shaped by far more than a single visit or conversation. It is built through the consistency of the nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers and support staff who show up day after day.
Being recognized through feedback from the people receiving that care is something we are incredibly proud of.
It also continues a pattern for Benchmark Hospice. We were honored as a Hospice CAHPS Honors recipient in 2025 as well, making this the second consecutive year Benchmark Hospice has received the recognition.
